About the album
After years of playing in bands, I created a record exploring cinematic themes and ambient textures. This record was produced in a basement studio belonging to a good friend, Neil Fried. We laboured over an old OTARI 8-track reel-to-reel machine aptly called ‘Ogilvy’. After months of work, I had another friend, Brian Arbuckle, come over and listen to the results. He was amazed to see me mixing 30 minutes of music on the fly (like a madman) and suggested we come to his studio workplace and import it into a hard drive recording system. This was 1994-1995. It was cutting edge in its day. A Studer Dyaxis system. We completed the record in one long night. The sun had been up for hours when I left with a completed record. I still have great memories of this record.
